  1. PM announced Electronic Visas for Chinese Tourists:
    On the second day trip to China, PM reached Bejing today and announced extended e-visas for Chinese tourists. In order to improve tourism in India, Prime Minister office (PMO) even overruled Intelligence Bureau and R&AW were against the extended visas for Chinese travelers.

    During this trip, India and China signed 24 agreements worth $10 billion for the development in economy, trade, science, culture, and technology.
  2. Human Capital Report 2015 released:
    The World Economic Forum has released the Human Capital Report 2015.

    The WEF association with an American global human resource and related financial services consulting firm named Mercer has prepared this report.

    Finland topped the list, followed by Norway, Switzerland, Canada, and Japan were the first five countries headed the list. India placed in the 100th position among 124 countries.
  3. Tejaswini Sagar won World’s School Chess Championship:
    Indian citizen Tajaswini Sagar won a maiden World title and succeeded to clinch gold under 15 category.

    Another candidate Anand Nadar clinch the silver medal under 15 category. Under 17 category, Saloni Sapole won the silver.
  4. President gives away Presidential Awards:
    President Pranab Mukherjee bestows honor on scholars who have made outstanding contributions in the development of Classical Tamil language and literature.

  5. Famous Guitarist BB King died at 89:
    Famous Guitarist Blue legend B.B King died at the age 89 in Las Vegas. He was known for his blasted hits Sweet Little Angel, Rock Me Baby and My Lucille.

    In 2009, he conferred with 15th Grammy Award for his "One Kind Favor" album.
