  1. SBI introduced Rupay Platinum Debit card:
    SBI introduced Rupay Platinum card with the association of the National Payment Corporation of India (NPCI). As to enhance customer usage and lavish their lifestyle, SBI worked to put additional features on debit cards.

    Initially, customers holding the quarterly balance of 50,000 rupees can have full access to these Rupay platinum cards at no cost.

    In addition, the Director and CEO of NPCI ‘A P Hota’ declared that their company geared up to bring in international RuPay debit cards, leaving customers to relax to use them in or out of the country.
  2. PM released Commemorative Coin:
    On the 100th birth anniversary of Swami Chinmayananda Saraswat, PM Narender Modi released a Commemorative Coin to recall his contributions.

    Swami Chinmayananda was a well known Hindu spiritual leader of his times. He laid down the foundation of "Chinmaya Mission" as to spread the learnings of the Upanishads and Vedas. He died at the age 77 in San Diego, California of the US.
  3. Bhim Singh’s ‘Unbelievable-Delhi to Islamabad’ released:
    The book ‘Unbelievable-Delhi to Islamabad’ written by Bhim Singh is released by Vice President of India, Hamid Ansari yesterday.

    Bhim Singh is a senior Advocate, Professor who has penned down his experience and put efforts through his words to let lawyers of India and Pakistan work together.

    Through his writing, he unfolded his care to the prisoners entrapped whether in Indian or Pakistani jails to ensure their right treatment according to their respective constitutions.
  4. MOU signed in Chattisgarh worth rupees 24,000 Cr:
    During PM Narender Modi visit to Chattisgarh, four different sets of MOU’s were signed at Dantewada. This was the first time when someone came in front of promises for the development of the state. MOU’s are:

    1. MoU signed between Government of Chhattisgarh, Ministry of Steel, SAIL, and NMDC for 3 million ton Ultra Mega Steel Plant that needs approximately Rs 18,000 crore to accomplish.

    2. MoU signed between the Govt of Chhattisgarh and NMDC for Slurry Pipeline and 2 MTPA Pellet Plant at Nagarnar in Bastar District that will cost Rs. 4000 Crore.

    3. MoU signed between the Govt of Chhattisgarh and SAIL for assembling 1 MTPA Pellet Plant in Dali-Rajhara, Balod District whose estimated cost is Rs. 826 Crore.

    4. MoU signed between the Govt of Chhattisgarh, SAIL, NMDC and IRCON for laying down 140km rail line in between Rowghat and Jagdalpur. The estimated cost is Rs. 2000 Crore for the project.

    Besides, development PM Modi also shows his concern about Naxalism. He urges people to rooted non- violence out of the state.
  5. 149th birth anniversary of Shri Gopal Krishna Ghokle:
    PM Modi on the 149th birth anniversary of Shri Gopal Krishna Ghokle has paid tribute via Twitter.

    He wrote ”Gopal Krishan Ghokle was a great personality; a remarkable freedom fighter and social reformer. Tribute to him on his birthday anniversary”.
