  1. Korea declares investment of 10 billion for India:
    During day 2 of the South Korea visit, Korean President Park declares an investment of 10 billion dollars for Indian infrastructure and Transportation development. Both the countries agreed to uplift their bilateral knots to a special “Strategic Partnership”.

    This was the last day to wrap up the six-day tour to China, Mongolia and South Korea where PM Modi met with premiers and signed several agreements to boost Indian bonds with these regions.
  2. Infosys stands first to link up with RE 100 Renewable Energy Campaign:
    Infosys recently link up with RE 100 Renewable Energy Campaign. This campaign is globally recognized for its member companies devoted to works on 100% renewable power.

    Nestle, Mars, BT, Swiss Re, Philips, Formula E, IKEA, H&M, KPN are some of the known members of the RE 100 Renewable Energy Campaign that strongly believe in taking potent measures to use minimum energy sources enhancing Indian economy to next level.
  3. Anti-submarine INS Kavaratti launched in Kolkata:
    4th Anti-submarine war vessel ‘INS Kavaratti’ launched in Kolkata. It is designed by the Directorate of Naval Design and worked up by Garden Reach Ship Builders and Engineers. About its specialties, it covers the displacement of 3,300 tones, having a length of 109.1 meters and is about 13.7-m at beam.

    This anti-submarine run by four diesel engines and can survive about 3,400 nautical miles. Kavaratti builds under the project of designing P28 ships signed in June. In 2014, INS Kamorta, the first ship under this project was launched. Kadmatt and Kiltan are upcoming war vessels in the falling year until 2007.
  4. India’s first dedicated astronomy satellite ASTROSAT fully assembled:
    ISRO has launched the first dedicated astronomy satellite ASTROSAT designed with the propose of studying distant celestial objects. This satellite is the first to be operated as a space observatory and fits with the mechanism PSLV payload adaptor.

    ISRO clarified that Ultraviolet (UV), optical, low and high energy X-ray wave bands will be adequate for taking different remarks simultaneously. It is launched by PSLV C-34 to a 650 km close to equatorial trajectory around the Earth. Moreover, device is equipped with four X-ray payloads, one UV telescope, and charge particle monitor.
  5. Italian Open title winners:

    1. Italian open was played in Rome in which Maria Sharapova of Russia wins women’s single third Italian Open title defeating Carla Suarez Navarro by 4-6 7-5 6-1.
    2. Novak Djokovic of Serbia won the men’s single of Italian open beating Roger Federer by 6-4, 6-3.
